▪︎ Following many years of individual success on the Midlands jazz scene, this dynamic trio has recently come together to explore the classic jazz guitar tradition they all share a passion for. Bringing their own distinctive musical voices, they draw inspiration from legends including Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, and John Scofield.

With a focus on tight ensemble playing, infectious swing, and expressive improvisation, the trio creates a compelling musical journey, telling the story as one ensemble.

Kieran Matthews – Guitar
▪︎ Kieran Matthews is a jazz guitarist and graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Deeply rooted in the jazz tradition while continually exploring contemporary approaches, he has developed a distinctive voice as both a performer and composer.

Throughout his career, Kieran has performed at some of the world’s most respected jazz venues and alongside many leading figures in the genre. His playing reflects a profound appreciation for jazz history, combined with a commitment to creativity, improvisation, and pushing the music forward.

Mike Green – Double Bass
▪︎ A First-Class graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire, Mike Green quickly established himself as a highly sought-after double and electric bassist.

His extensive performance experience ranges from intimate jazz clubs to sold-out appearances at renowned venues including Ronnie Scott’s, PizzaExpress Jazz Club, and The 606 Club with award-winning ensembles. He has also appeared on prime-time national television with artists such as Jamie Cullum and Dame Shirley Bassey for the BBC.

Miles Levin – Drums
▪︎ A true master of the drums and a familiar face to Birmingham audiences, Miles Levin brings his own distinctive style and energy to the trio. Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of acclaimed musicians and performed at major festivals including Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Marlborough Jazz Festival, and the London Jazz Festival.

His live appearances have included prestigious venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, The 606 Club, and Symphony Hall Birmingham. Miles has also performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, bringing a wealth of international experience to the group.
